As of October 1, the crypto market is seeing a mixed performance. While Bitcoin (BTC) faces a slight dip, altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP are experiencing volatile movements. However, the day’s standout performers are Bittensor (TAO) and SUI, with notable gains. The total crypto market cap has fallen by 0.77%, now sitting at $2.25 trillion. Interestingly, total trading volume surged by 38.6%, reaching $80.68 billion. Let’s explore the top-performing cryptocurrencies and how they’re standing out in today’s market.

Volatility Hits BTC and Altcoins

After recently testing the $66,000 mark, Bitcoin has slid to $63,000, triggering concerns among investors. The price fluctuated between $62,873 and $64,701 within the day. Despite this pullback, Bitcoin saw $61.30 million in inflows to spot ETFs, according to Sosovalue data. In addition, Japan-based company Metaplanet purchased 107.91 BTC, fueling speculation of a potential rally in October.

XRP took a notable 5% hit, dropping to $0.6205. Ripple’s release of 1 billion XRP tokens has contributed to this volatility, with prices swinging between $0.611 and $0.652.Altcoins Shine as Bitcoin Drops: Which Coins Are Winning Today? = The Bit Journal

Among meme coins, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) also saw losses, with Dogecoin down 4% to $0.1176 and Shiba Inu down 2% to $0.0000183. However, meme coins like dogwifhat (WIF) and FLOKI managed gains of 3% to 4.5%, keeping some investors optimistic.

Today’s Winners and Losers

The altcoin Bittensor (TAO) emerged as one of today’s biggest winners, gaining 9% and trading at $605.86. SUI followed closely, with a 10% rise, reaching $1.91. Injective (INJ) also saw significant growth, increasing by 8% to $24.56.Altcoins Shine as Bitcoin Drops: Which Coins Are Winning Today? = The Bit Journal
