The crypto market is experiencing a notable surge today. Bitcoin (BTC) has maintained its position above $67,000, while major altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP have begun trading in the green. Notably, Dogecoin (DOGE) saw a massive 8% increase, emerging as one of the biggest gainers. The total market cap has grown by 0.20%, reaching $2.32 trillion, despite a 24.81% drop in total trading volume to $81.29 billion.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Lead the Way
Bitcoin posted a modest 0.5% gain, trading at $67,518. Its intraday low and high were recorded at $66,776 and $68,375, respectively. Additionally, the inflow of $458 million into Bitcoin ETFs as of October 16 has supported this slight increase. The leading cryptocurrency’s market cap now stands at $1.34 trillion.
Ethereum also saw a 0.5% rise, climbing to $2,633. Intraday price movement for ETH ranged from $2,592 to $2,645. Inflows into Ethereum ETFs, totaling $24.22 million, contributed to this upward trend, pushing its market cap to $317.28 billion.
Solana, XRP, and Meme Coins Show Mixed Performance
Solana saw a slight 0.6% dip, currently trading at $153.41. The day’s trading ranged from a low of $153.08 to a high of $158.14. Solana’s market cap is now $72.57 billion. On the other hand, XRP gained 1%, trading at $0.5482, with a market cap of $31.06 billion.
In the meme coin space, Dogecoin (DOGE) soared by 8%, reaching $0.1254. Shiba Inu (SHIB) also saw a 1% gain, hitting $0.00001845. Both Pepe Coin (PEPE) and Bonk (BONK) enjoyed a 1% rise as well.
Biggest Winners and Losers of the Day
FTX Token (FTT) surged by 12%, trading at $2.08. Its intraday low and high ranged from $1.78 to $2.29. Mog Coin (MOG) also rose by 8%, while Bonk (BONK) increased by 9%. On the losing side, Hedera (HBAR) fell by 6% to $0.05297, and Ethena (ENA) dropped by 9%, now trading at $0.3996. Bittensor (TAO) declined by 6%, reaching $583.
